Two Question Mailbag - Media Roundtable

I’ve done a lot of One Question Mailbag posts here. Those are where I’ll take a question from Twitter (or from our IlliniBoard Slack channel) and answer the question with a full article. This one will be a Two Question Mailbag. There are two questions that were asked on Slack and I’d like to expound on both of them here. 

Right to it. Here’s the first question:

Really appreciated all the notes and your impromptu Q&A session here yesterday after Josh’s roundtable. Curious from a broader, zoomed out perspective how you viewed all the info coming out. Seemed like things are overwhelmingly positive right now re: Illini athletics. Did you walk away with that feeling or do you have a different vibe than that?

I guess that’s a good way to answer another question here. For those of you saying “Robert, where’s some of that 'here’s what you need to know about that' stuff that used to be on the site before you started doing this full time?”, it’s been over on Slack the last 4+ years. Football practice notes, “here’s what you need to know from the Whitman media roundtable"… stuff like that now exists on Slack. Articles go here, stuff the higher tier subscribers are paying for goes there. Such as… an impromptu Q&A session after Whitman’s roundtable. 

This question is asking me to zoom out from that. And since this is a Two Question Mailbag, I’m going to put the second question here at the beginning as well. I’m then going to zoom in on that one followed by the zoom-out requested above. Zoom-outs are only effective if you’re first zoomed in.
