SOC - Southern Illinois

Is this going to be the earliest SOC in years? It's currently 8:56 pm and I'm sitting down to write the Stream Of Consciousness. I can't remember the last time I started this earlier than 9:00 pm. Is this going to be published by 10:00 pm? AM I GOING TO SLEEP MORE THAN FOUR HOURS TONIGHT??

I do think I will. The fire engine is in the driveway and packed for the morning. The shopping is all done, the drinks are in the cooler, and all I have left is to type this out and then go get some sleep. 88 degrees again tomorrow (this is the hottest month of Illini games ever) and I'll need as much rest as I can get. It will be a high of 68 on Tuesday with a low of 53, but no, we can't have that weather on Saturday. We need three consecutive weeks of games close to 90 degrees, apparently.
