Senior Moments
After watching all the student managers and cheerleaders take their final photos on the court after the game, I looked up the date of the final home basketball game when I was a student. It was March 9, 1996. That will be 30 years ago this coming Monday.
I wasn't in Krush that final (5th) year because I had built up enough points to get front row seats right by the tunnel. It would take too long to explain here, but at the time, students could be in Krush seats or the regular student seats and once you had enough points (from having student season tickets for so many years) you kind of "aged out" of Krush and sat over with the grad students. So for that final year in 1996 – Lou Henson's final season – my seats were front row by the tunnel.
