Reintegration Session

This is one of those days were basketball happily takes second billing. With Illinois v Wisconsin kicking off in this evening in Madison, today’s buy game against Long Island ( #277 in KenPom) was merely an afternoon amuse bouche. It was a mostly uneventful exercise - although the relatively subdued crowd allowed those of us on press row (and most of the Krush seats) to hear some entertaining sound bites from Brad Underwood. I think my favorite came late in the second half when exasperated by a stretch of uninspired play, he summoned Brandon Lee off the bench and told him as he went to the scorer’s table to “JUST GO IN FOR WHO EVER YOU WANT!” I mean, that’s a lot 0f pressure to put on a guy playing in his first collegiate game.
