It's so funny how I use the paywall here. The idea behind the paywall is that you make the article nice and juicy and then WHAMMO you hit 'em with the paywall so that the reader scrambles to subscribe and continue reading. They simply HAVE to know what happens in the next paragraph!

For me, I hide words behind the paywall. I don't feel comfortable sharing certain things with the general public so I race to add the little "stop the article preview right here" tag so that every paragraph I write after that tag will only be read by people who have subscribed. It won't add a single subscriber to the total but, in my mind, that's a good thing. The words don't feel safe out there. The words only feel safe in here.

So if you're, say, an Illini Golf parent and you're looking to see what I'm writing about the final round yesterday, I apologize because this won't be one of those articles. I've written those articles about other tournaments this season (in Michigan and in Memphis and in Baltimore and even this tournament). But this won't be one of those. This is me sorting some things out by essentially writing a journal entry. That likely won't interest the majority of you, so this where you can hop off the ride. The paywall goes up... right now.
