How Great Is This?

My youngest son was the first one to let me know that "OK" wasn't a proper text response. This was at least 10 years ago. He'd be all "I should be done around 5:45 so you can pick me up at 6:00" and I'd say "OK" and he'd ask me why I was being so aggressive with my response.

I had no idea what he was saying at the time, but over the years, it has started to creep up on me as well. Someone will just respond "OK" and I'll think "well that was quite short of them." The thumbs-up emoji, especially the little one that you tag right on the edge of the text, is the best way to acknowledge "got it" now.
