High Five: Maryland

And 125 days later…the end of the regular season.

I don‘t know about you guys - but this thing has flown by for me. Pretty sure that’s a good thing. Those 14-18 seasons? They…linger.

The final game of the conference slate was a frustrating exercise for much of the afternoon, but ultimately no harm was done. The Illini were able to put the wraps on a 15-5 Big Ten record and earn an extra day of rest/practice before the Big Ten Tournament with a workmanlike 78-72 win against the Terps.

So while I am more than ready for some “one and done” style tournament hoops, let’s first tend to some final business in this “We FINALLY swept Maryland in conference play!” edition of High Five…
