A Chat With ACJ

Here's my problem: I keep way too many things to myself. I have this whole "if it doesn't meet the high standard I've set for myself, I won't publish it" thing that I've followed for a decade and a half. And, as a result, lots of things go in the trash. Tweets, interviews, articles - I can't get them there so they go in the trash.
But I think I've probably gone too far? I had so many interviews at Illini Media Day last summer that I never published. I'd get to the point of publishing them and then I question whether it's good enough and rush over to the delete button. I still believe that this guiding principle has helped the quality of the content I produce. But I'm realizing now I've probably taken it too far.
In an effort to recalibrate, over the next two weeks, in and amongst the other articles, I'm going to publish all of the interviews I did at Illini Media Day on Tuesday. Just the raw audio from our conversations, no editing. There won't be an article attached, so if you don't enjoy the audio interviews, these will be easy posts to skip. But for those of you who refresh the site daily, you might enjoy me putting out a little burst of daily content these next two weeks.
First up: wide receiver Alex Capka-Jones. I don't have to tell you that I'm a fan of his story and how he fought and fought and fought to earn a Division I offer. So I was excited to catch up with him on Tuesday. Here's that conversation:
