Did anyone play Tecmo Bowl? I'm talking about the Nintendo version. The NES. We're talking early 90's here. I played some. I sucked at it and mostly just mashed buttons, but I played some.

The thing that Tecmo Bowl got right (and maybe Madden and other games get this right as well): if you called the other player's play – if you called the defense that was designed to stop that specific offensive play call – the opponent would be tackled almost instantly. Guess the right play call and you don't even need to mash buttons.
